Last of July, Birthday Time

There are so many beautiful scenes around Nauvoo. July 30, Friday,
We spent six hours at Pioneer Pastimes, because there was no one to come for the second shift, so we just stayed longer. We had a couple of visitors while there. We saw Mona Taylor and her mom, Abby Hatley, at the Pageant last night, so they stopped by to visit for a while. It is good to see friends from home. And then Lori and Rick Packer and their kids stopped by to visit. We also saw them at the Pageant, and told them where to find us.
They invited us to dinner at the Nauvoo buffet, and we were able to join them for a nice meal. They are moving to Georgia. Later in the evening, they came to watch our "Sunset By the Mississippi" program (inside because of rain). The kids were darling, with a third one expected in October.

July 31, Saturday,
Happy Birthday to me! They sang to me at Preparation Meeting, and I took brownies to the band kids and told them they were the party, and they sang to me. I was in Tickets and Tours on a split shift, and during the break, I got the present my Mom bought for me. Three Nauvoo Christmas ornaments, which I love.
The Rendezvous cast sang to me in the evening, and we did well on Peter and Abigail.
Lots of people have been sending me cards, and it is fun to get mail and be remembered.
